Generate a SAT Math Quiz from your PDF
SAT Math rewards fluency and careful reading more than advanced content; most mistakes are avoidable slips, not knowledge gaps. The fastest score gains come from practising the recurring question types until they are reflexive. Turn your prep books and class notes into targeted drills and stop losing points to the same traps.
Key SAT Math Topics to Quiz Yourself On
- Heart of Algebra: linear equations, inequalities and systems
- Problem Solving & Data Analysis: ratios, percentages and statistics
- Passport to Advanced Math: quadratics, polynomials and functions
SAT Math Exam Structure
On the digital SAT, the Math section is adaptive and delivered in two modules of about 22 questions each (44 in total) over 70 minutes, and a calculator is permitted throughout. It covers four areas: Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry. Most questions are multiple choice, with some student-produced (grid-in) responses.
Sample SAT Math Questions
If 3x + 6 = 21, what is the value of x?
Answer: x = 5. Subtract 6 from both sides to get 3x = 15, then divide by 3.
What is the slope of the line passing through the points (2, 3) and (4, 7)?
Answer: 2. Slope = (7 - 3) / (4 - 2) = 4 / 2 = 2.
If f(x) = x^2 - 4, what is f(3)?
Answer: 5. Substitute x = 3: (3 x 3) - 4 = 9 - 4 = 5.
